I thoroughly enjoy Christmas, however as I learn more about the pagan history of the evergreen tree, I am conflicted about how to celebrate and continue to create family traditions during this season. How can we celebrate Christmas without submitting to pagan traditions but still create memories with family, should I just replace it with one of the feasts? How can we celebrate Christmas without submitting to pagan traditions? 3. If someone is ignorant to the truth and lives a worldly life will they be saved? If so, at what point is someone no longer ignorant? Is it just hearing about God or hearing the entire truth that we as Seventh-day Adventists believe? I have heard people say that if someone is saved in their ignorance then why should we tell them the truth when they could then be lost because of that? How should I answer this type of question? 4. Can you please explain Exodus 33:11 & 19? Is there a conflict here or a mere difference in meaning? 5. Could you kindly explain Acts 2:15? If in Bible times the day began at sunset, what time was Peter referring to as 9 in the morning? 6. I heard a Pastor recently say that if we have to work on Sabbath it's okay, referring to people in healthcare. However, he said the wages earned on those days should be given to the Lord. I wish I had known this when I was working as a hairstylist for 31 years. I would have done that since I was never able to take Saturday off and that was the only skill I knew to earn an income and pay my mortgage. It was a very challenging time for me because I knew the Sabbath was a day of physical rest. I always prayed asking God to show me a way out and to have this day off but it never happened. Does this only apply to health workers or would that have applied to me as well as a hairstylist? When is it okay to work on Sabbath? 7. Did women really have no rights in Old Testament days? Did God set up laws that gave men all the rights? Did women have rights in the Old Testament? 8. My son believed in Jesus but used drugs. He died of an overdose. I believe He may have had ADHD, and after his father died he was depressed and got trapped in addiction. Will he be saved because of not being in his right mind and being lost in addiction? Can a believer in Jesus, trapped in addiction, go to Heaven? 9. What do you think about deliverance ministry? Should we be involved in this? As I read more and more of God's word I'm coming to the conclusion that this is not right. What are your thoughts and Bible teachings on this issue? 10. Is God a man? I went to a Bible study and one of the members said “We do not know if God is a man or a woman”. I know God created “man” in “His” image and Jesus told us to pray “Our Father” which art in Heaven. I have always believed God is male. 11. Can I give myself communion at home? I'm home-bound due to disability and illness. 12. What name should we be baptized in?
