M150 Ep26 - Changing Horizons
Description
In 1903, the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists moved its headquarters from Battle Creek, Michigan, to Takoma Park, in the District of Columbia. This was a change of horizons, mentally as well as geographically; it was appropriate for a church that now looked outwards, across the oceans, instead of internally, within the United States. The four men who served as GC officers throughout the period 1903-1922 capitalized on the structural reforms discussed in Episodes 24 and, and the new location, to drive mission expansion and growth.
