We’re living in a time of deep confusion. Even among those teaching and leading in our churches, conflicting voices and shifting ideas are leaving many unanchored. New theories may sound familiar—because they’ve been around for decades—but that doesn’t make them true. “Sanctify them through Thy truth; Thy word is truth” (John 17:17). Truth sanctifies. But what if we’ve only been given part of it? The counsel is clear: we must receive all the messages connected with the Third Angel or we’ll be left without a solid footing (Early Writings, p. 188). Many reject the old paths, yet Jeremiah 6:16 reminds us that’s where rest for our souls is found. This message is a call to wake up, to sigh and cry for what’s happening, and to return to the full light that once brought power and clarity to the Advent movement.
