    Description

In this week's Sabbath School Bible Lesson study, Melusi Ndhlalambi (MelVee Video Productions) continues the discussions with a panel of Simdumise Poswa and Loago Setswalo (from Purelight Missions), King Makupe (Attest Ministries) and Elder Nixon Kadiramwando to discuss the topic, "Women in the Ministry of Jesus." This week the discussion reviews the book of Luke in terms of the relationship Jesus had with the Holy Spirit and Prayer. More than any other gospel narrative, the Gospel of Luke referred to this relationship between Jesus and the Holy Spirit a record 17 times. From the conception of Jesus into humanity (Luke 1:35) to the directive establishing His global mission (Luke 24:44–49), Luke sees an operational link between Jesus and the Holy Spirit. The link is basic to understanding the ministry of our Savior. The touches on the importance of prayer in Jesus’ life and mission. Fully divine, equal with the Father and the Spirit, Jesus in His humanity left us an example in regard to prayer. If Jesus saw the need for prayer, how much more must we need it? The lessons encourages believers to conduct unceasing prayer and diligent watching in order to avoid the danger of growing careless and of deviating from the right path. The adversary will seek to continually obstruct the way to the mercy seat, that we may not by earnest supplication and faith obtain grace and power to resist temptation.” Through Jesus and the Holy Spirit and the privilege of Prayer, we can be one with God and be holy.
